  大家好，这里是沃尔得太仓中心“外教在线秀”，上期节目我们邀请了来自寒冷的加拿大的Phil老师谈了关于“冷”的英语词汇。这次我们请来了来自南半球澳大利亚的Scott，让我们看看这个时候澳大利亚是什么样吧。

  While we’re all trying to stay warm in Taicang,it’s quite the opposite in my home country.Right now,in Australia,it’s late summer...with daily temperatures averaging from the high 20s to the mid 30s.
  尽管我们在太仓都想尽量保暖，在我的家乡正好相反。目前在澳大利亚是夏天末期，每天温度平均为将近30度到35度左右。
  That’s because the earth is slightly tilted on its axis.In the southern hemisphere,they are getting stronger sunlight,longer daylight hours and shorter nights.In the northern hemisphere，winter we are getting shorter daylight hours,weaker sunlight and longer nights.
  那是因为地球的轴有一些偏。在南半球，阳光较强，白天更长，夜晚更短。在北半球的冬天，我们看到白天更短，阳光较弱，夜晚更长。
  To keep warm,I am wearing my wool hat(--in France-a beret or in Scotland--a tam o’shanter),I’m also wearing a scarf and my long coat,my over coat,my trench coat...
  为了保暖，我穿着我的羊毛做的帽子（在法国，叫beret;在苏格兰叫tam o’shanter),围巾和我的长衣服，我的外套，我的军用防水上衣...
  In Australia I would be wearing a tanktop(that’s a shirt with no sleeves),I would be wearing board shorts(worn for swimming and surfing at the beach)and,of course,I would be wearing my sunnies---sunglasses.It’s also very important to wear a hat to protect against the strong sunlight and to prevent skin cancer.
  在澳大利亚我们会穿背心装（没有袖子）、宽松短裤（游泳或冲浪时穿）、当然也有墨镜。而且也很必要带帽子来遮蔽阳光，防止皮肤癌。
  In Australia,we usually buy new clothes for the different seasons--the same way Chinese buy new clothes and new shoes for the Chinese New Year.All right,thank you very much!Xin Nian Kuai Le！
  在澳大利亚我们通常在不同的季节都买新衣服--就像中国人过春节时买新衣服和新鞋子一样。好了，谢谢大家，新年快乐！
