Over33millionpeoplefromEngland,Scotland,Wales,NorthernIrelandandGibraltarhaveallhadtheirsay.

Weshouldbeproudofthefactthatintheseislandswetrustthepeopleforthesebigdecisions.

Wenotonlyhaveaparliamentarydemocracy,butonquestionsaboutthearrangementsforhowwe'vegovernedtherearetimeswhenitisrighttoaskthepeoplethemselvesandthatiswhatwehavedone.

DeliveringstabilitywillbeimportantandIwillcontinueinpostasPrimeMinisterwithmyCabinetforthenextthreemonths.

TheCabinetwillmeetonMonday,theGovernoroftheBankofEnglandismakingastatementaboutthestepsthattheBankandtheTreasuryaretakingtoreassurefinancialmarkets.

WewillalsocontinuetakingforwardtheimportantlegislationthatwesetbeforeParliamentintheQueen'sSpeech.

AndIhavespokentoHerMajestytheQueenthismorningtoadviseherofthestepsthatIamtaking.

AnegotiationwiththeEuropeanUnionwillneedtobeginunderanewprimeministerandIthinkit'srightthatthisnewprimeministertakesthedecisionaboutwhentotriggerArticle50andstarttheformalandlegalprocessofleavingtheEU.
